How Often To Add Salt

i have just added aquarium salt to my tank (20G) for the first time (1 tsp per 5 Gallons) and am wondering how often to add more salt? should i thow in another teaspoon each time i do a weekly water change?

I do mine every water change, also when treating tank for diseases as it helps to boost treatment.

Most all freshwater fish have evolved without salt in the water. Salt is an old time cure, I know plenty of breeders who still use it, but plenty more who do not.

That was a intresting read, i knew there was some fish that dont like salt, and i am glad now that i dont use salt in my plecs tank Phew..

i know guppies cant tolerate salt in the tank,i dont see the point when they are fresh water fish anyway
