I have a one gallon tank for my Betta and I just notice it's already getting a bit cloudy after just one day. How often should I change it? And should I change all the water or just half?

The cloudiness is most likely due to the nitrogen cycle. Your tank is just cycling itself. Ammonia is consumed by nitrites, and nitrites by nitrates. Each bacterial bloom will fade away. Nitrates, by the way, are reduced by water changes.

I change my water once a week.

Oh, and I do all of the water.

2 times a week. For my smallest tank which is a 3 gallon bow(the thing is freaking huge)

I do 4 partial water changes on any of my tanks or bowls per week that is less than 10 gallons. I have problems with buffers the city puts in the water, I keep live plants in all my tanks and bowls to keep the ammonia and nitrates down. I have one that is 1 1/2 gallon that gets cloudy for no reason at all. I have the same gravel and plants in it as the others. I use a 5 gallon bucket to let my water set overnight, I mix the water conditioners I use in it before adding to the bowls and tanks. I test it before and after the water change and nothing changes. The fish in it is happy and healthy so I have no idea why it does that.

Thanks for the responses, I'll probably do a full water change once a week then.

You have a 1 gallon bowl. I would suggest no less than 2 complete water changes per week. I would follow that rule for anything up to 3 gallons, unless you have a good filter on it.

I have a 10 gallon with 2 males and a 15 gallon with 8 females. The boys get 100% water change once per week, the girls get 50% water change once per week. As needed, I do 100% and scrub decorations.

For my 1 gallon bowl I change the water once a week.
