50%+ on my 29. Don't like to do to much because my tetras get over excited :).

I used to do 75-90% weekly to reduce disease organisms and nitrates.
My water was held in storage tanks for a week before using. It was aerated, filtered, dechlorinated and the pH & GH were adjusted during this time.

I normally did 50-70% water changes on my various tanks.

The fully stocked heavily planted tank got approximately 70% once a week water change using python hose system and used prime to treat the whole tank volume whilst tank being or nearly refilled.

The smaller tanks with just shrimps and all fairly to densely planted had about 50% once a week water changes, the smaller tanks only had prime doses to the changed water volume as are under 10 us gals /20 litres.

For the other larger under stocked 25 us gal / 105 litre tank got 50-60% once weekly python hose water changes and again dosed prime for full tank water volume during refilling.

Normally would add slightly cooler water by a couple of degrees as the livestock seems to like this, never added warmer water btw.

Then would add root tabs if needed and once weekly liquid ferts at end of water changes to keep nutrients good for all the plants.

Never had a issue at all
