hey all i like the seio's powerheads,how much will i need in l/h for a 700 litre tank ?

and do i need more smaller ones or 1 or 2 big ones to achieve whatever you guys recommend ?

like 2 4000 lph big ones

or 4 2000 lph ? small ones

and how will you place them ?

10, or 1, no one knows for sure, since we dont know enough about your tank.

for a 700 litre tank I'd aim for at least 14000 l/h

You might be better off with a couple of Tunze streams

IMO a couple of smaller pumps are better than one large one, this way you can position them at different sides/corners of the tank and they can result in a wave making affect which is a bit more natural rather than a strong current coming from one direction! ;)

While Seio are ok pumps, they are large and somewhat expensive compared to the nano streams or the Hydor Koralia.

The flow rate depends entirely on your stocking. Most FOWLR pred tanks only need 10x while some people hit 50x and above on SPS tanks.

ypu, 100x isnt uncommon when it comes to acropora spawning gardens.....

~180g tank with live rock at least 2 large tune or equivalent flow, for a reef tank.

On such a large tank I would seriously look at the Tunze wavebox. It moves all of the water in the tank at once and replicates waves washing onto the reef.
