Hi
I am in the process of cycling a 46 gallon bow front tank. I am planning on getting some african chiclids for it. I am wondering how many of these fish can I have in a tank this size?

Thank you

Malawi....... and I am also wondering if there are any small sharks that can go with these. Bala sharks? Can I mix malawi with others? And what about Jack Dempsey's

If your going to stock with Malawi's.. id slightly overstock to minimize aggression, say about 15/16. Also, keep away from any overly aggressive species.

Kribensis is right, if your gunna stock with Malawi's.. Malawi's only!! :good:

46 imperial gallons??=16

or

46 U.S. gallons??=14

Bala sharks get 12" long and are not suitable as mbuna tankmates (assuming you are doing mbuna). You haven't stated which "type" of Malawi fish you want to try to stock...Haps(to big for your tank in general terms), mbuna or peacocks

:)
