Hey folks,

Quick question, I am going to setup a quarantine tank that will forthcoming be for corydoras.  How do you recommend I set it up?  Specifically, what substrate do you recommend I use?

So far I have a piece of driftwood and some rocks.  I may throw in live cheap live plants (that I won't care about if I kill) such as crystalwort, java fern, duckweed, etc.  Do y'all recommend bare-bottom or should I go with sand?

I always go bare bottomed with quarantine or hospital tanks just so I can see that they are pooping properly.

It also helps to see if food is being eaten and how the poop looks. In that respect if one wants substrate, and works better than gravel which usually hides this stuff. Bear in mind that it isnt when things gor right in Q but when things go wrong to consider. Q tanks often morph into H tanks and then you would prefer to have things it it you can sterilize and reuse.
