As title suggests,
I would like to know how you go about planting a newly cycled tank,
Working with a full tank of water surely makes it difficult, with putting
the plants where you think best, and then maybe having to move them,
also what about sticking mosses to rocks with superglue when rocks are
allready wet?
give me some tips please,
thanks.

slowly and carefully does it, get a few nice plants i mean about six or so, and decide from height were they should go, put in rocks and wood, esp under the inlet pipe if you have a strong current i have a group of large pebbles, then just fill in the gaps, and get a few forground plants maybe some floating plants, are you sure your tank is cycled, have you been feeding the filter bacteria. di

Have not started yet,
will be a month or 2 before i start,
just seeking some info first.

I prefer to go heavily planted straight away. This would work well for you too if you are planning now for the future. You can create a list of what you want and then order online.

I prefer to tie moss on with cotton as it seems to hold it all rather than just bits. Anubias and fern are better glued from experience.

OK thanks, that was what i was hoping to hear,
What i am confused about is,
1)do i add pure Ammonia or lightly stock it(i definatly want a shoal of Rasboras 20-30)with say 10 rasboras first,
and slowly up the numbers,
If i do add fish slowly am i looking at daily water changes?
If i add Pure ammonia am i likely to have major problems with Algae?
Ideally what i was thinking was to have a nice growth of plants first,
get them established and the Tank looking the way i want it and then adding fish slowly,
I am in no hurry to add fish,
and looking for a decent feed for the plants,
but the problem is there is so much conflicting advice.

Cycle your tank properly with ammonia and a test kit, then once it has finished I would add some fish so the filter is always cycled. Then order your plants that you have chosen and then plant them.

If wanting to dose carbon or liquid carbon then you will need a fertiliser with micro and macro nutrients such as tpn+. If not adding carbon then something like tpn will be adequate, especially if going heavily stocked with fish. Have a read of peoples journals and see what they're doing.
