Anyway, here's pictures of this past weekend at the Hotwater Blast 2006. It was the second year I've attended, maybe next year I'll be able to enter my 1990 Vanagon. However, it still needs work and I need a good job. It's a VW show, but a few Audis and some other Euros slipped in.

EDIT: Server change. Pictures moved.

Wow those are some gorgeous cars. I'm not into cars at all, but those modded, lovingly cared for car are beautiful.

Thanks for the comments  ... I did talk to a couple of judges and they said that one of the reasons that it was so hard this year for them to pick winners was because all the cars entered were absolutely spotless and immaculately clean inside and out.

Where there any new R32's there they are lush :) very cool :0 kinder like one i went to but that was for BMW minis

The standouts were: a Corrado, the red Audi A4, a blue R32 (below), a silver R32 (only a couple minor mods though), a supercharged Passat, an AWD Beetle, and a couple of Golfs with Jetta front end conversions.

Those aint bad. I'm not into imports at all. But I do respect any car that looks good, is clean and well cared for. And those are. I really like that Corrado and R32s are nasty, I test drove one and it was impressive (altho I still want a WRX). One thing I don't get is loading a car with 100 pounds of audio equipment, I'm of an older persuasion, I like to go fast, I tear out air conditioning, radios, back seats...etc. Anything to save weight and make my car faster....I just dont get it. But to each his own!
