I picked up a single plant a month ago. The shop gave me a metal band around it to hold it down. It's literally grown from 3 inches tall to 2 feet in a single month, so I broke it into 5 pieces before I realized it won't stay down in my gravel substrate. If I try to bury it, it rots and breaks off again. What should I do?
