Would a pair of each be OK in a 30 gallon community or would they fight? I already have the dwarfs but I'd quite like some more gouramis of a different kind and the honey ones look nice and small (gotta look out for the neons  )

I don't think I would risk it. Two pairs of honey gouramis might go well if the tank was well planted, but the dwarf gouramis can be nasty little creatures. :/ Those two are the same size too, so there's even more chance of trouble (I've heard that different sized gouramis can work better sometimes).

I've never had any problems with my dwarfs, I have 2 males and a female in a community tank and everyone gets along fine. If anything my dwarfs are timid towards a few of my other fish, especially my male betta, I think it varies from fish to fish. Probably better of keeping the honeys in a tank by themselves for a few weeks till you find out their temperments before just dropping em in though. Depends on the temperments of your dwarfs too I guess...

hiyas Fish-n-Chips...good to see ya finally got in.....

As my sig. i have several gouramis....they all get along except when feeding. I
have found they are very aggressive eaters..i make sure to give enough food
for them all...of course watching not to overfeed.

Buy them gouramis, sit back and enjoy this fantastic fish....
