High Concentrations of Chlorine

Okay, I started running my water today, I noticed that there is an extremely high concentration of chlorine in my water -- to the point you can easily smell it when the tap is on.

Should I change my conditioner treatments on the water to adjust for this, or will the same amount handle high chlorine concentrations? I know I had chlorine in the water before, but not so high that I could literally smell it.

The normal amount of dechlor should be adequate, but if unsure, 1 and 1/2 dosage of most products is ok, and will take care of high levels. Most manufacturers say to double the dosage for chloramine, so 1.5 dose should be ok. Read your product and make sure tho

Most de-chlorinators can't be overdosed so 1 and a half measure should be adequate.

As said already, check the label though
