Hi guys

I'm new here... and kinda of new to the hobby!! I had a nice tank a few years ago... long story!! Anyways my hubby bought me a 29-gallon tank for Christmas (which he gave me before then... set up about Dec 12-13th)

To start I had:

1 Emeperor ID Shark (like to play dead... seems fine now)
1 Channel Catfish
2 Pink Dwarf Kissers (1 died)
2 Emerald Gourami (Not sure which is the female or the male?)

Recently bought:

1 Pink Dwarf Kisser (Died again :( )
6 Neon Tetras (Lost 3... )
1 Pleco
1 Electric Blue Crayfish
2 Dalmation Mollies

Everything seems to be going well... but my tank is a little cloudy!! Fine one minute and cloudy the next... then today I noticed some bubbles at the top!! Any ideas??

Anyways the reason I am posting is for my crayfish! I bought a little cocanut cave for my shark which the crayfish took over... seemed ok!! It comes out to eat and goes back in again... notice he is only aggressive at feeding times!! Yesterday I noticed that all of the rocks from inside the cave were outside the cave and blocking most of the entrance... is there a reason for this??

Please help...

Thanks

To start I had:

1 Emeperor ID Shark (like to play dead... seems fine now) - Probably too big.
1 Channel Catfish - Probably too big.
2 Pink Dwarf Kissers (1 died) - Gourami?
2 Emerald Gourami (Not sure which is the female or the male?) - Probably ok.

Recently bought:

1 Pink Dwarf Kisser (Died again sad.gif ) - Gourami?
6 Neon Tetras (Lost 3... ) - Might've been eaten / attacked
1 Pleco - Probably too big.
1 Electric Blue Crayfish - Needs a CRAY ONLY tank unless in a huge tank, WILL attack and hunt and eat your fish.
2 Dalmation Mollies - OK

i have to agree with all this, though the cray will not hunt your fish, it may feel threatened by the close proximity of the fish, resulting in attacks though.

first i would like to know what Cray you actually have. a good quality picture will do. unless you have the latin name to hand. Electric blue Cray, are for the most part Procambarus Alleni, an North American crayfish. these are known as kranky Cray and do not do well with fish. not only that but they are a cool water Cray, and advice is they should not be Kept with a heater in the tank. this means, if this is your Cray, that is should not be kept at tropical temps. only the Australian Redclaw Cray is a tropical cray, as yet, there are no others. with the possible exception of the Mexican dwarf Cray.

as for why your cray is moving stuff out of its caves. there are one or two reasons, for the most part it is just their nature, they also like to burrow. however the Cray could be coming up to a moult, and is simply making room for the act.

my old blue used to like digging, and would surounds is den with rocks as big as him (god knows how he used to move em)
