Hi, my name is Chickenboi. I have been fishkeeping for about two years now. Currently I have a successful 10 gallon Cherry shrimp tank and a 20 gallon community tank which is a home for two Hill Stream loaches, seven Ember tetras and a hand full of Ramshorn snails. I am also keeping a few ant colonies. I have had the 10 gallon for about a year and the 20 gallon for about four-five months. Thanks for reading my thread!

The shrimp tank has a lot of algae, I have not found out how to eradicate it yet.

thats some nice guppyGrass
try feeding less? that is like the wierdest thing ever! do the shrimp eat the algae? i've read somewhere that they like to eat algae

I heard that they like to eat algae too, but they seem to eat the biofilm instead.
oh by biofilm do you mean the slimy stuff or the diatoms?
Yeah, the shrimps aren’t eating it. I am going to try to pick the black algae out manuall.
i think black algae and other stringy algae is too hard and not tasty for animals
