Its been a while, eh? I don't have school tomorrow and I just ended a movie so I thought now would be a nice time to update.
The 55G is pretty much the same. A Mbuna Cichlid tank(don't pay attention to the stocking list in my profile; its outdated), with no real new faces, but a loss of some older ones. The younger ones have gotten really big!
I got rid of all my 10G and betta bowls, so now I just have the 55G, a 5G(with my DT Male in it) and the 2.5G(with the DT/CT female in it). Its been so quiet lately!
The bettas have been doing well, they've been kept clean and well fed - the cichlids are doing the same.
I've been hunting around for a summer project, and I've been considering changing my 55G hard-edged cichlid tank into a lushly planted tank with Gourmis and Angles and such(man, I do miss my Gourmis).. I haven't put too much thought into it just because school is coming to a close and everyone's scrambling - but I'd really like to do something with plants and try out my underwater "green thumb". The most imediate problem is my current mbuna cichlids. I can't get rid of them in a profitable way, and I can't just give them away because I've spent easily over $100+ on those guys.. so I'm just holding on to them- they're pretty active, I just can't find appropriate scenery for them, and my tank looks pretty bare with just rocks, so thats whats been on my mind.
The SW nano is at a standstill right now - I haven't invested any time in it, except when I moved it from my room to the guest bedroom. I'd maybe also like to push ahead in that in the summer too.
I have to shut down for tonight, but I'll come on tomorrow and see what yall think!
