Rite so after my lesson yesterday i decided to go out and try find a male to go with my female... i took on board the info i was given and looked for a longer more pointed dorsal fin and no pink belly

heres what i found:

Looks like a skinny and stressed male, but can't be 100% sure. Can you get another photo when he settles in? I can't view the video atm as I'm at work.

i'll feed him up good lol... he's still very stressed atm, im drip acclimatising him with the lights off. i'll try get anuther photo but the video is 10x clearer

I can't really tell at certain angles, it looks like it may have a pink tinge to the belly..

well he/she has settled in really nice now, and just demolished some bloodworm, also his/her stripes are coming back out now which they wernt in the LFS was just pure pale fish with abit of yellow and blue...

and my LFS still wont believe they are german blue rams and even went to the extent of showing me the order form for bolivian rams!

just to confirm there is no pinking of the belly i was just about a inch away from the glass and (im guna go with he) he came upto the glass so i had a good look

Show your LFS the internet >.< make them open two pages, one will a Google for images of one ram and the other of the other (using scientific names), and explain the eye colour method of IDing. Then you can tell them as someone who has worked in the industry before, about 40-50% of fish which come in are incorrectly IDed or replacements for stock which was not available at time of shipment.

£4.99 each (or £9 for two) but i bought them seperatly so i could make sure i got a male and female pair
