I am totally new, and have made an almighty cock up. I went to my local fish guy ( A local vet) and walked out with a betta male and female. Nor once did he tell me that I should not have these together!! They have been in the tank for about four or five days and they were fine.. but today he is chasing her around like mad and am really worried about her. I want to take her out of the tank and take her back to the shop. What is the rule with Bettas? Can I have two females? The other problem is that I am slowly introducing fish and have found that they male is less bothered by other types of fish, unlike the female who was a bit aggressive to start with. I have guppies as well.. probably totally incompatible!!! Have very little information to go on over here
