two days ago my albino oscar started acting weird she did not want to eat or swim at all just lays on the bottom breathing heavily and yesterday i spotted white poop coming from her anus. after doing my own research i found that she might be constipated due to a parasite.. this was after i fed her rosey reds. should i just leave her be or is there a treatment for this?

i apologise for lack of information im writing this at work

Long white faeces is the classic tell for Hexamita, a basically gastrointestinal parasite that can affect Oscars, Discus and Angelfish. I once had an outbreak in my discus and the fish soon became very pinch and looked terrible. The fish becomes constipated by the parasite and can only excrete that slimy poop.
It is a serious disease if left untreated, and will lead to no appetite, loss of color, vitally, followed by long and painfull death. It is best to isolate the fish in a smaller tank. You need a treatment containg metronidazole to kill Hexamita. Just follow the instructions and hopefully your oscar will recover.

I don't think it is normally considered to be contagious.
