one of my shrimps was dead this morning
i dont know why
all the stats are ok

it was the male not the pregnant one

i wonder why any suggestions im going to exchange it for another today
ive seen a lot of people wake up and see there shrimp dead

hhow come ??

What shrimp ?
Did you get them at the lfs or were they posted ?
How long has your tank been established ?

Ah. When you said exchange, it sounded like you were going to take the body to the store to get credit because it was under 14 days from when you bought it or whatever.

My ghost shrimp ended up dying for no apparent reason, as well. Other people's thoughts included aggression between shrimp/ jumping out/ poor water quality. However, the last seemed unlikely since I rarely make large changes to stock/ water, and the jumping out seemed unlikely. As for aggresion, it was a big tank and they never seemed to be going at it, though I have heard about ghost shrimp attacking neons and whatnot.

So, in the end, it seems that I am of no use to you. Therefore, I will track this topic in hopes of finding an answer. :p

hey,yes i mean go to lps to see if i can get my money back and get another

i love shrimp and want them still

It seems that a number of shrimp die when moved to a new home. Fatality rates are higher if the mode of transport is shipping. It depends on how they are acclimatised. Some can take to the new home well, others do not and from what I've read, losses in the first few days (even up to two weeks) should not be entirely unexpected.

Ps: next time try to word you topic a bit better such as "Help - unexpected Ghost Shrimp Death" :)

ok well ill keep a eye on the other
they were greatast nite
eating bloodworms
ill get a new one

p.s i would have but i wanted to get the post in quick due to lack of people on

You might find that other people also have "lack of time" - and if the topic title doesn't "grab" them, they won't respond or even look at it in the first place. So taking the extra two seconds to type of few more words will be in your favour in future :)

Also, since it's been... 6 or so months since you got the shrimp, I highly doubt you will get anything since guarantees generally do not go past 14 days. Also, they are normally sold as feeders, so they do not have guarantee at all. :/

allrighty
so would u get another one
i will later if so

it wont be the worms will it

No - he only just got the shrimp. The tank has been established since October.

who said i got them 6 months ago?? i never i got them 2 days ago

You said october, I mistook it for the shrimp. :p

Also, It's 6 a.m. here, and I have not slept at all, so I would think mistakes like that are only natural. :p

ok but why u up at 6 wheen u not slpt on the net ??? lol
