Help!

Hi, as i look into the top of my tank i can see some sort of scum like dust floating in the water obvious making it cloudy doing water changes as not shifted it. Any ideas as to what it is and how do i get rid of it i have done a water change every day this week. can anyone help.

Hi, how long has your tank been up and running? Have you added any new ornaments etc? Did you wash your gravel properly before adding it?
It could be dust etc of any of the above.A friend of mine had the same problem and it turned out to be dust and dye from her coloured pebbles which although she thaught shed washed them well ,still seemed to be causing the problem.
Has your tank cycled?

I lovingly call it the crap layer....

I`m hoping once my tanks cycled and i`m doing weekly water changes it`ll just disapear
