Help Wots Wrong With My Leather!?

I got home from college today to find this!

Whats wrong, my clown started to sit in it in the evenings and the middle polyps didnt come out but sides did fine now its like this

Then my other question is my tank is going proper green!

Leahters are easily irritaqted so if the clown has decided to host in it then its probably not enjoying the attention. Give it a few days and the leather should get used to the clown. Other than this you might have accidently touched the leather and this is enough to send it into a sulk.

THe algae looks like diatoms which is the sign of a new tank so i guess its probably no older than a few weeks. If so then this is normal and part of the maturation process.

well i do get that once in a while but this is really strange as its got white dots all over! even on the under side!? i mean i need to know if it will recover before i go away next sat for a week.

Tough to say if it will be healthy in a week or not... Either way, theres not much you can do for it but wait. RElax and keep your fingers crossed

No i had a look and well it coming out again slowly round the edges but also peeling a layer of skin off which also means the white spots, i wldnt say they are flat worms as the spots didnt move i dont think.

If its peeling then try putting some flow across the coral. they often close down to shed a layer of skin so if you can get rid of this layer it might well open fully again.

Agreed. More flow will help. They actually prefer higher flow areas.

ok i put some flow onto it now but still looks not amazing but better then before for sure

Yeah, looks like its shedding but turned the corner. MUCH healthier today. Give it a couple more days and see what it looks like
