I can’t tell by the pictures, but males are usually more colorful and smaller than females. :)

Theyre opaline gourami, first one is male and second one is female. The dorsal is longer and pointed on the males and the female has shorter dorsal and are usually rounded. Females often also have a heavier body as well too.

They’re Both a similar size, around 4 inches long.
I’ve had them for a long time and couldn’t remember the name and both looked similar so wasn’t able to sex them.
Opaline now you’ve said it rings a bell.

Just adding the scientific name, as the Opaline is the same natural species as the Blue, Gold, Three-Spot, Cosby, Marble, and I don't know what else. They are Trichopodus trichopterus so they all have the same requirements, temperament, etc, etc.
