a while ago i had made the DIY Co2 system and it is working good. i got the homemade diffuser (gonna order a good one oneday) but i heard that you can run it through the intake of your hang on filter ( ihave a penguin), would this work just as well as your regular diffuser? will i have to take out the carbon? any help is much appreciated. i found a ladder diffuser over at dr's foster and smith for about 10 bucks. anyone know of any cheaper (besides the diy kind0. thanks yall.

You can direct your intake into your pump.. but its not that great of a way of diffusing co2.. its just an easy cheap method. My suggestion is spend a few bucks and buy a glass bell diffuser.. they are some of the best ways to diffuse... also a ladder will work and if its 10 bucks i don't think you get much cheaper then that :p

thanks for the info ive noticed a few bubbles coming out of the filter even though its going through the impeller. gonna get one of those ladder diffusers today. thanks!

I dunno. Ladders are funky and alittle big. a powerhead works for diffusing.
