After i did a water change, i noticed that he started swimming in bursts with its tail pointing down. I've put in a quarantine net, in the same tank. pH is 7.4, ammonia is 0, nitrate is 5ppm. Been putting it in methylene blue baths, twice a day for the past 2 days.

Dont give the fish baths it will stress them. Dont use meds if you dont know what is causing it, it can kill the fish.

What sized tank? What other tank mates?

How long have you had the fish?

I've had the fish for about 6 months or so, 20 gallon tank, 1 angelfish and 1 other purple emperor.

Do a 75% water change

one more question, should i remove the fish and put them in a separate place, or leave them and just do the water change?
thanks!
Leave them in
