My Oscar is sick. His anus is slightly swollen and looks to be plugged with white stuff. He dosent move much and sometimes falls to sides. Usually his face is pointed down like hes floating. Hasnt eaten in the last three days. Before it happened i had'nt cleaned the tank in a month. Nothing else new or weird. Please help, im going shopping tomorrow but dont know what meds to buy.

Are you going to treat him for parasites? AP General Cure and Tetra Parasite Guard are for internal parasites with an antibiotic for potential secondary infections.

Edit: I've not used it, but people really seem to like Clout for parasites. Looks to be a really good combination of medicines for various internal parasites.

Thank you very much ill see if i can find any.
Please be aware that I'm not a vet or any kind of expert. I was just pointing out the commonly available antiparasitics since you think this is what might be the problem. I have no idea if this is what the fish actually needs. I will say that I would probably try this myself first for a couple of days anyway. Has his poop been stringy at all? You might be able to get him to eat using garlic extract as an appetizer. Some fish seem to really like it and it is said to help with parasites as well. Maybe try to get him to eat a pea in case he's constipated. What do you normally feed him?

I think I'd try him in an epsom salts bath first as this will loosen him up if it's just constipation and will save you treating him with more expensive meds.
