HElp me please

I've just got 2 fishies as a present and don't know what to do.
They go in a small like 5''/3'' plastic box. And it looks like they don't feel good there. So I figured out that I have to buy the bigger tank.
Does anyone know how long they can live in such a small box? Can it wait until Friday? And do I have to change the water or it's better not to do this?
I will appreciate the any information.

what kind of fish are they and by plastic box do you mean something like this?
those are pretty much unsuitable for most kinds of fish.

They should probably be ok until friday, but it really depends on what kind of fish they are, I'd try to get something sooner if possible!!!!

Changing the water would be a good idea If you have chlorinated water, you'll need to add a dechlorinator to the tapwater before putting it in the tank. The fish should be fine in the tank until Friday. Do you know what kind of fish they are? If not, could you describe them to us?
