Help Identifying Species

Hi!

Does anybody have any pointers IDing what species these cichlids are? Any info would be much appreciated ?

Hmm not sure to be honest. On the first pic I thought Geophagus Brasiliensis but then the third one threw me a bit as it looks like some kind of Cribroheros. Though when you google G.Brasiliensis there are some pictures with the extra black markings and the double spot on the side that one has in the first picture.

What did you buy them as?

It wasn’t a case of buying so much as rescuing...
I think the double spot is just on 2 out of around 60? I have just looked up G. Braziliensis and I’m pretty sure that’s right, thanks so much for your help! ?
 
60!! Wow thats a lot of big fish coming your way haha but good on you for getting them. What are your plans with them?

Looks an interesting tank with the headstanders and bueons airies tetras too?

Yes, only 7 full sized at the minute though. Currently they’re split into 3 tanks as some are in very poor condition, especially the tetra.
Eventually there’ll be a tank with just adults and a tank with the tetra, headstanders and cichlid juvies!
