Hi all! I’m new to the forum world and was hoping someone out there could identify my cichlid. I purchased x4 from lfs as red kadango but x 2 of them are much smaller in size and have different features. i think that x2 are red kadango (male and female)
It is very hard to get a decent pic of them. I hope someone out there can shed some light. Thanks in advance!

Yes you got ripped off. You have 2 Copadichromis borleyi (Kadango red) and 2 Pseudotropheus species.

Take the 2 Pseudotropheus back and get a refund. They are generally cheaper than the borleyi and real agro.

Thanks for the info! I have had them for awhile and been trying to research the exact variety but never pinned down what they were. I do know that I will never go back to that lfs, I only got the kadango as replacement for neon tetras that all died. (My shrimp tank, not with the cichlids [emoji1787])
They are still nice fish though and are pretty peaceful/interesting to watch. Always hanging out with the kadangos.
