I noticed about 2 months ago that my male guppy has some type of growth, or tumor on his tail. He acted like it was not bothering him, but I treated with salt, and hoped it was just a benign tumor of some kind. Last night when I checked on them, he was at the bottom of the tank. If he is going to die anyway, I don't want him to suffer through it.

Are there any humane way I can help him go?

Hammer+Fish .. real messy but one of the quickest and painless ways to go for him.... You sure he's a gonner???
If theres still some hope you shouldnt give up.

OK, about 2 days after i posted this, he DISAPPEARED!
I have checked around the tank to make sure he didn't jump out, and I'm positive that he could not jump out of the very narrow space around the filter.

Anything in there that could of eaten him?
If he died and stayed in there for a few days even other guppies would be able to tear him up and have a nice snack..
Dont forget to check the filter!!
