help me im the biggest newbie

im 14 and a bought a 60L tank or 13.5 G

its a tank in a box

i got neons angelfish couple of mollies and a balla shark

2 of my mollies have died and 1 looks screwed

the tank is 4 days old with aqua 1 water conditioner

mollies ly on the bottom , swim slow sideways help thier wiked fish and i dont wanna loose ne more

Do a 50% water change right now.

What happen is that you bought to many fish for the size tank and it was not cycled. There are many posts on cycling here on this forum. You now have to do water changes daily! If it is still alive take the shark and the angel back to the LFS. They are way to big for your tank. get a water test kit so you can keep track of your water condition. This will take some work and you may loss some/all of your fish but its do this or take All of them back. Good luck. I am sorry the pet store did not tell you this would happen.

Neons don't go with angel as they hunt them in the wild, plus they need a mature tank of six months, angels need a 30gal tnak, bala sharks should be kept in groups to be happy, plus need very large tanks of 125gallons. I would take all the fish back to the store by the mollies.

cycling as others have stated, I find it upsetting that so many lfs don't explain this as they cause needless pain and deaths and upset for new fish enthusiasts

yeah but they ultimately win if you return and buy more fish from them... of course you must ask for advice really. they cannot assume every person buying fish is a beginner. if they advised you on these fish then DO NOT return there.

hey i just got back from school another mollie has died im down to 1

they didnt tell me about the balla or the angelfish with size

i live in a town about 10 000 people theres 1 lfs and its a 2 hour driv e to the closest city

i went to the lfs on the way home to get a test kit they only 1 which did the things i needed which is $60

they told me to get to get a stress relief thing and a whitespot treatment as i relised thats wat my fantail had so i moved to a smaller tank (1g) on the weekend

so ne ideas ill start the water change now

Acid...agreed. Start water changes and DO NOT add any more fish right now. I recommend going to the top 'pinned' sections and start reading on cycling and how ammonia and nitrite can harm fish. Also, make sure you have a good test kit and check your water parameters. You may want to use graph paper or other paper to chart your results.

The best advice was given above...see if you can save the fish and return them for a credit at the LFS or even ask them to hold them for you until the tank is cycled. SH

ok so far so good did a 50 50 water change

added ich stuff and cranked the air bubble thing

does it need any more water conditioner???

id also like to thank every1 thats posted a reply its muchly apreciated seeing that nobody in this town has a clue
on fish including the people seeing them
highly doubt that the lfs will take my balla and angelfish back seeing they only have 60L tanks 2
