help algae problem

i have a few plants with grass like black algae on it, and also black spots of algae on ornaments and gravel, it looks natural to people who visit, but i know that it's not right.

I tried leaving off the lights, and cleaning tank also scrubbing the algae off but neither the plant or ornaments show any effect

What should i do
