Hello my name is Tammy. Thank you for excepting me. Iv’e been dabbling with fish aquariums on and off my whole life. I enjoy learning new things and the calmness it brings me. I started experimenting with aquatic plants this last time I set up an aquarium. (I was tired of cleaning the plastic ones)And I love them. Still learning the names of the plants and the proper way to keep them thriving. But, I also lI’ve to learn new things, so it’s all good.

Hello and welcome! I'm new here as well and ive found out tons of new stuff I wish I knew while keeping my first 3.5g betta tank. And just like you I'm going to be messing with plants and hopefully create an aquarium that works. I wish you the best of luck on your aquarium and on here!

Always plenty to learn in the fascinating world of freshwater tropical fish and aquarium keeping in general. Plants can be tricky. I've had mixed success over the years. Some people have a green thumb when it comes water plants and others not so much. I recently tried Ceratopteris thalictroides Water Sprite after hearing that it is a good easy beginner plant. I'm growing mine floating but it can be rooted as so many aquatic plants like anacharis. It was doing well at first but then kind of died back and is now reviving itself. Be patient as some things take time. Don't give up too soon.
