My name is Mandi and I'm 22. I'm an MIS student at Penn State Behrend.

Anyway, I'm a newbie here, and a new to aquarium-keeping, so I'm hoping to learn a lot from everyone!

Nope, not yet! I had a 10 gal tank when I was a kid, and made a real mess of it.

So this time, I bought a tank, I have it running with some gravel and plastic plants and de-chlorinator (sp?) in it but thats it right now.

I was reading on here about doing the fish-less cycling, and I really want to try that. I also have decided I want to take the plastic plants back out and put live ones in there.

... so it's going to be a WHILE till I get the fish (after fishless cycling and getting some plants established), though I'm hoping to get 2 dwarf gourami's eventually!
