Hi all,

My HC has been in for 6 days now, got a drop checker this morn, its been in for about 6-7 hours and the solution is a nice lime green colour. I placed the DC on the opposite side to the diffuser to ensure that the distribution of co2 would be sufficient as I was concerned about flow, seems fine though. I've been doing small water changes everyday adding 2ml of TPN+. I have a fair amount of growth already, plus some pearling, some parts of the HC are growing quite tall. Can I snip this off under the leaf and replant? I don't want so much height in case the bottom of the carpet suffers.

Just wanted to check before I go ahead and trim as I don't want to do something that I shouldn't.

TY.

You can trim it like any stem
plant and replant if you have the patience.

Nail on the head there....patience.

I just did a few and its such a delicate little plant, hard to get it to stay in the substrate. Not sure if i planted it right. I know I should have seperated it all into very small bunches...and I sorta did that, I spaced them all out and got them as small as I could so I hope that is good enough, I don't want a shabby looking carpet lol.

Yeah I totally agree. After all patience is a virtue!! :)

I would leave the HC for a few weeks to make sure it takes properly. I'd give it a month to be honest. Then after the mother hack it to your hearts content!
