My Anubias has recently produced 2 lovely flowers but since then, one has sprouted loads of weird hairs!! I cant quite tell if this is algae or some sort of weird reproductive growth, I'll add some pics a little bit later..

Has anyone had this before, do I have to get rid of the flower.. Where should I cut it?

cut it a few mm from the base.

My Anubias flower a lot too - as soon as the flower starts to die algae take hold. The hairy stuff will be staghorn or some other hair algae.
