Hair algae treatments

Anyone know of any good hair algae treatments available in the UK? One that doesn't harm anything else and is compatible with live plants and my fish.

Algecides have now been withdrawn from sale within the UK so unless you know a lfs that still has some old stock you will find it hard to find one. I discourage the use of algecides within aquaria as they are strong poisons which will affect fish and bacteria colonies regardless of what the bottle lable says, i gave in and used one once and lost a lot of expensive fish to a violent outbreak of velvet which followed just a day later.
