i have had my twenty seven gallon juwel community planted tank for about three or four years and its just

got more and more hair algae in it and its so ugly! iv tried easing up on feeding i dont fertilise it i gravel vac

once a fortnight but its always got algae all over the glass and plants. i have two bristle noses in there but

they acheive nothing really my usptairs tank is a ten galloon and never really gets algae apart from a bit on

the glass. i cant afford co2 nor do i want the hassle i have floating plants in there and heavily planted with

sword plants java fern and vallis and some moss. any more natural tips or should i try a chemical treatment

are they any good. sorry for the long post its jsut really getting me down!

Can you describe the algae a bit more... what colout, length etc.

What are the tank / tap stats? (Nitrate / Phosphate)

What lighting do you have?
