Hagen Co2 Natural Plant System

Well i was just wondering whether this was anygood? I was just going to go for the plant substrate, ferts and lights but now im not sure. Is it worth the buy?

Personally i wouldnt fork out £20 for something that a 2 litre bottle can do. Just search DIY CO2

I bought one just for the ladder diffuser and used 2 one litre bottles with it. Worked great!

If you are unsure or wary of doing DIY co2, the hagen kit is the next best thing. I've had one for just over a month, and the difference to the plants is amazing. Better growth and deeper colours. It comes with three lots of the yeast mixture (upto 3 months worth) to get you going, and after that, you can do a search for yeast recipes on this forum. This will keep the cost down to about £6 for a year!

I just bought one. I like the ladder (its clear and you can barely see it in my tank) and it makes measuring out sugar, water and yeast easy. I have had mine for 3 days now, and I can already see the difference in my riccia. It might be wishful thinking, but still... now if I start seeing pearling this week, then I'll know its making a difference.
