About three hours ago I had bought another live plant for my tank a water fern from my lfs. I then cleaned and installed it in my tank. I left for a few hours came back noticing one of my guppys swimming all crazy doing flips and spins all over the place. I then changed 25% of the water. And now its laying in my fake grass i have nose first. Hoping that it doesnt. Die I dont have a master test kit. I have a ph tester that is curently reading 7.8 and thats the highest it goes. I dont know what to do?

How many guppies do you have? And are they all male? When swimming do they arch to the side like bowing their bodies?

I have three male guppies and two female. And no it was just the the one spazzin out. I know its hard to get a good diagnoses without water parameters tho.

The last time i had a fish like that, it went dead after a few minutes. Meaning one of your fishes experienced some kind of shock

Yes thats what i thoyght. Maybe the new plant had something on it that the fish didnt take to kindly of. But suprisingly its still alive just on the bottom of my tank head first in some plants. Also I believe its pregnant too. But I defenently need to get an advanved water tester since its more like a necessity.

How long you had the guppies in the tank. I was told 1 male to 3 females at the least. If about to give birth. they rest in plants away from the males to get rest I was told...males chase females to death sometimes and if not left alone when giving birth they can die.. Ie the ratio to male and females needs to be right.. (Read that somewhere on this forum )..
