I know its very common to have guppy fry but it is the first time that my two guppies have given birth, i'am a tropical fish beginner and have only had my tank a few months. I was delighted this morning when i looked in the tank and noticed 12 baby guppies. Can you give me any advice to help rear the fry? i'am feeding them livebearer food and keeping them in a breeding tank and i have now released the mum. Many thanks  :D :hyper:

Congrats. Brings back memories of the first time my livebearers had fry - I was so excited I jumped up and down with joy   The next time I still jumped, not so high that time. Still kept the fry separate in a smaller tank, but by the time the fifth (or was it sixth) lot came along I wasn't jumping any more and I stopped puting gravid mums in nursery tanks and left them to take their chances in the community tank :hyper: :hyper: I still get fry, but not so much - now it's a case of survival of the fittest :D :D

Too true gadz the first time, unlike in us humans, is always the best.
