Well, I've been waiting for awhile for my guppies fry to be born.
There is about 23+ and I have a few questions as for taking care of them.

I have a separate tank that has a HOB filter with current not strong enough to suck them in.
But I was wondering about which time will I be able too tell if they are female/male in weeks?
and do I do more water changes than a normal tank would?

Normally juvenile guppies can be sexed around 5/6 weeks old, saying that i thought i had kept 4 females aged around 3 months and one turned out to be a male
most fry will resemble females when young.

Daily water changes will promote the growth of fry,and fry usually get fed 3/4 times a day using crushed up flakes, small amounts each time :good:

mine just became juviniles and i sexed 3 correctly now. i have 2 males and 1 female and there r aout 20 more to sex.i coould sex them at 10-11 weeks.

If you are keeping the fry in their own tank, try covering the inlet of the filter with a bit of filter sponge. I have done that on many tanks where the fry are extremely small. It looks like this after being set up for a while.

That sponge inlet cover started life as a simple sponge intended to be a replacement for an AC filter but I cut a slit in one end and slipped it over my filter inlet. The end result was a filter inlet that was safe in a Heterandria formosa tank that had lots of fry in it. Just in case you are not aware of them, Heterandria formosa adults are only about 2 cm long.
