I hope i have the correct forum,

I have a quick question, what is an ideal size tank for a breeding pair of green terrors? min and max size please

thanks

I wouldnt want to keep them in anything less than a 4x2x2' tank. And if you want other fish with them it will have to be alot bigger.

thanks, i used to keep a breeding pair in a 350ltr corner tank. I have a rio 125 at the moment but ill wait untill my xmas pressie arrives from the mrs, a nice 6ft tank.

How big can these get as mine never fully grew before i had to rehome them

I think they get about 10" but not sure if im honest. A 6 foot tank would be perfect. Is there any reason why you want to breed these over other fish? Because you might struggle to sell the fry since they get so big and are very aggressive.

im not going to breed them this time, well not if i can help it. I just love the fish.

Last time i had to give the fry away to my local lfs, and even that was a struggle. I learnt the hard way with them, after being told that they would fit in my malawi tank perfectly by a local lfs. The killed everything within 2 weeks.

this time im only keeping them

If you dont want them to breed i would only get 1. Maybe something else like a texas or oscar aswell.

The male I had was about 12" and growing. I would personally want at least 5×2×2ft for fish that size.
