Fish Crazy
I guess mixing the two wasn't such a great idea. I wake up this morning to find one Pictus cat sticking to my filter and one more hanging on for dear life. So I took the almost dead one and moved him to my other tank, well he died about 20 mins later. I also put another decoration with a little hole in it so the other two that were left could hide in. Well about an hour later I see another one barely moving. So I move the last two over to my other tank, so far the one is still struggling but the other is swimming all crazy like normal.
The only thing I can figure is it was those damn tiger barbs.
All 4 were fine last night, I would see the tigers chase at them a little, and they would chase back, but nothing too serious. I'm guessing last night they must've got to em real bad. The cats were only about 2 inches which was probably another mistake on my part. The Tigers are also younggins, about an inch at the most. I checked the water:
NH3- dead 0
NO3- dead 0
NO4- between 10 and 20
Does anyone know if bigger Pictus's would be able to stand up to the Tigers? I have 7 of them so I figured they would keep the aggression to themselves for the most part. I liked those littles cats too! I'm almost ready to find someone with a nice big Oscar and offer him a free snack!
