I was just looking at some old photos of my GT, I'm pretty surprised how much he's grown over the past few months. I got him at the end of February and he's at least tripled in size.

Here's just a log on how he's doing. As well as pictures in order of when I took them.

first picture I remember taking of him, back at the end of February

and now he's this handsome fellow here:

From head to tail he's about 5 inches, and still as mild tempered as he was on day one.

Anyways, going back to one of my original questions about this guy, is it truly a male?

Lemme know what you guys think of him as well, he's definitely my favorite fish. Absolutely love this guy.

I honestly don't know how to sex em. I only know mine as I have seen there thingamajigs when they are courting lol.

He's beautiful....you know if its male or female yet?
I'm supposing it's a male, since I've heard females have less orange on the fins, but I'm not really positive. I haven't heard much people vouching he's female though, so I'm like 95% sure he is a guy.

Beauty! :) he/she looks the spit of one of mine, whIch I'm thinking is a male.

I can't really find anything concrete on sexing them at this size, but from the difference in size and in head shape from the two I've got, I'm guessing male.

Hope this helped you a little bit :)

I love green terrors. I had one years ago which was a good 10 inches (a monster)

I was thinking of getting one again with tank mates consisting of firemouths and clown loaches

How many of each do you reckon of each fish? Obviously only one green terror

Depends on the tank size. Though IME firemouths really don't like each other. You'll want at least 6 clown loaches though.

You could also throw in some medium-large schooling fish like silver dollars or tinfoil barbs if you've got the tank for it.

Tank is 60 x 18 x 26 inches approx 450 litres

I was thinking maybe a shoal of Congo tetra. I was thinking about 10 clown loaches

These are mine. Other than the fact that she is smaller, I can't really see much of a difference. Her top fin does seem to have less orange.

Female

the female seems a bit stumpier as well.

she is kind of a fat little thing lol

she's more docile too....she doesnt try to eat my face through the glass.

My green terror is like a big neon tetra, dominance order in my tank is;
Rainbow shark > Male Kribensis > Male Green Terror

I've been recommended bleeding heart tetra as dither fish for green terrors, could look nice in a 450L.

I was gonna go with bleeding hearts, but I was worried the bichir would snack a few.

My GT is a big sissy too. He doesn't bug anything. The dominance in my tank is like Bristlenose pleco>featherfin syno>female convict>penny sized severum>firemouth>green terror
