Hi all,looking for your advice,
Shortly to get new tank and will be fishless cycling,
as ammonia +light causes algae, and i really like the planted tank look
i was toying with the idea of having a go at growing mosses and other plants in
a suitable container of some description and add when cycled,
so would like to know,
is this feasable,
thinking of mosses attached to slate, stone,or mesh.
mosses attatched to wood,
what other plants would you suggest,
do they have to be totally submerged,
do i need a heater
do i need to feed them,if so what would you suggest,
how often would i change water and does the water have to have movement,
lots of questions but hopefully lots of you can advise me,
thanks.also would natural light be sufficient

Look into a silent cycle, as i understand it, 75% min of the tank is planted (heavily planted) then you can introduce fish stock slowly without any risk to the fish, would be worth a look around :)
