I'm looking at growing some Java Moss over a piece of rock i have, how would i go about this?

do i need filtration? as i can easily pick up a small tank for growing it in

It's easy enough to grow... rather slow though. Wrap it round the rock with fishing line, but it will never attach to the rock, wood it would though.

It would grow fine in a tank you have already running, wouldn't need another tank to grow it in. And when it gets long simply trim it down, wrap it round something else and let it grow again :good:

Is there anything similar that grows quickly?

It grows fast in my nano tanks because the light is much brighter. I have some weeping moss that grows fairly quickly too. Well, as quick as moss can grow, which isn't that fast.

Look in planted aquariums resource centre, top of the planted section, there's a guide in there I believe.
