i had just noticed on both of my mystery snails their was a whitesh/greenish tint on their shells.
so i was wondering is it possible for moss/algae to grow on their shells itself? or is this something else on their shells?

Yes it is.

Can we see a photo?

Your snails will also love blanched leafy greens, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, spinach, carrots and canned green beans.

Kens veggie sticks with calcium are great for snails.

As for stress coat, Personally I wouldn't add the stuff to my tank.

Also, while we're on the subject of what not to add to the tank, I would avoid adding anything containing copper to a tank with shrimp or snails

it was from the recent water change, i may have taken out to much. so my levels are semi ok. just need to get my nitrate back up

its rare but it happens sometimes. my other tank is about 13 nitrate atm

how do you have a 2 Nitrate
I am also wondering how you can measure 2 or 13.

If you mean 2 Nitrite then that is toxic to fish.
