Hi

Just added some Selaginella Wildenowii to my tank, now I usually do it the other way round and research before buying, but I liked the look of this so (after asking shop staff if this was suitable for a normal aquarium i.e. light depth e.t.c.) I just got it. After getting home and putting it in the tank, I looked around a bit and it seems its a riverbank plant that can live underwater for short periods but is usually in the open air. What I want to know is, is this correct? how long can it live in an aquarium? will it grow at all?

Thanks

Jon :)

I've researched this plant a bit but have never seen any in person.

It is a fern and isn't recommended for use in an aquarium. It is semi-aquatic. it can live under water for a short time but must be removed and i've read it needs to be placed in a moist next to water area like a river bank is to a river.

So what I found seems correct then, Thanks jordan, I will get rid as soon as it starts to show bad signs.

Thanks

Jon
