I thinkt he guy at my LFS said that green tiger barbs and my regular tiger barbs would school together with no problem.

Will they just ignore their color differences and school togther equally. Or do they notice the difference in color and kind of stick together with their own?

When it comes to schooling the green tiger barb and the tiger barb are( so it seems) color blind. The all school together and they even go through the pecking order together for the dominate male. I have had tigers for several months with a mix of both and they do fine together

Most fish recognise their own species irrespective of colouration and/or mutation. Like Les says they should stay together. Fish don't have the same "hang ups" as some of us humans.

You got that right my friend........the human world could learn a lesson or 2 from the fishies..... we all would be happier
