im going to rehome one of my gouramis as i was watching this evening and noticed that one of them is always on the bottom of the tank in between some plants with the blue one over it and when something comes near they chase them around the tank (its a community tank) it seems to be the yellow that is aggressive and the blue looks after her. the blue one has a long fin while the yellows is half the size does anyone have any ideas as to whats happening

Someone must be able to help me my tanks is looking like a gun fight from the o.k. corale.

I had 3 red Dwarf Gouramis in my tank its was a Biorb 60l (not a good tank) all male and very terratorial. One in particular got picked on like yours hid in the trees not moving all day. Had to split them up and removed the stressed one to a bigger tank but I don't belive it was in good health and it never recovered. I had to eventually flush it. If I was you I would try and re-house it as it already seems stressed .What size of tank do you have?

its a jewul rekord 96 jobby seems the yellow one stays in the plants the chases the other fish off as they come near her the blue male doesnt really do much is only aggressive when he is actually with the yellow one i thing i should rehome her in the morning im just worried about my fish tonight it is very bad in there could i put her in the bag and float it in the water till morning or is this very bad.

No I would re house in the morning. When reading info here I belive its better to have 2 females for every male do you know the sexes?

the pearl gouramis are male and female and i have 2 male dwarf gouramis its tonight i added these that i have had problems the male gets on with the 2 dwafs they kinda stroke each other with the tenticle arm things they have its just my bigger female thats aggressive but she has turned on everything even my pleco.

If they have just been added they me be terratorial problems you might find it will settle down in a few days. Most fish go through this when added to a new tank. See how it goes good luck.

im going to rehome the female pearl and keep the male pearl and 2 male dwarfs the female isnt to good with other fish and i didnt realise it was a male and female pair and i cant accomodate a breeding pair and this will cause problems later on wouldnt it?
