Gourami guestion

Im thinking about gettin a bule gourami or an opaline gourami when i get an 18 gallon tank. I have 2 Cinnamon gourami, paradise gourami, female betta, 2black tetras, and 2 plecostomus. Should i get one.

Blue Gouramis are evil evil fishes. Make sure you get more females than males. Males are mean.

Getting a blue or opaline gourami for a 18 gal that already has that many other kinds of gouramis is a bad idea. As FishHeads said, blue/opaline gourami males are mean. Besides, they are big fish and a fullgrown male will want an about 50-60 gal territory, meaning that ideally that should be the minimum tank size for them.
